Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Welcome to Prodivity! These terms govern your use of our app and website. We've written them in plain English because we believe you shouldn't need a law degree to understand the rules. By using Prodivity, you agree to these terms.

1. What Prodivity Is

Prodivity is a personal productivity app for everyone. It helps you:

  • Track expenses using natural language, in any Indian language
  • Track income, including recurring salary or freelance payments
  • Keep an udhaar ledger of money you have lent or borrowed, and settle it when it is paid back
  • Track habits and plan daily routines by describing them naturally
  • Build workouts, track exercises, and set weight goals with AI assistance

The app is available as an installable Progressive Web App (PWA) at app.prodivity.in.

2. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Prodivity.
  • You can sign up using Google, email, or other social logins through Clerk, our authentication provider.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us immediately.
  • You may only create one account per person. Please don't create multiple accounts to abuse the free trial.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Free Trial

When you create an account you get a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. The trial begins the moment your account is created. No card, UPI ID or autopay mandate is required to start it or to use it.

At any point during the trial you may set up autopay via Razorpay. That autopay is a recurring mandate for the plan amount you choose, ₹49 per month or ₹299 per year, on your card or UPI ID. Your bank or UPI app will show a mandate for that amount as soon as it is set up, even though nothing is debited against it during the trial. The mandate is limited to the plan amount. When you set it up, Razorpay charges a ₹5 verification amount to confirm your card or UPI ID is valid, and refunds it automatically. This is a payment method verification required for recurring mandates. It is not a charge for your subscription, and it is not retained by us.

If you set up autopay during the trial, your subscription begins automatically when the 7 days end and the plan amount is debited against the mandate, unless you cancel beforehand. We send you an email reminder before that first debit. If you do not set up autopay, your account becomes read-only when the trial ends: everything you saved stays visible, and adding, editing and deleting entries resume as soon as you subscribe. Subscribing after the trial sets up the same mandate; the first debit is then taken the following day, after the advance notice banks require for recurring payments, and access resumes immediately.

4. Subscription & Pricing

Prodivity offers two subscription options: ₹49/month or ₹299/year. You choose one when setting up your subscription. A recurring autopay mandate through Razorpay is required to keep adding, editing or deleting entries once the free trial ends; reading your data never requires one. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay.

  • Your subscription renews automatically each billing cycle (monthly or yearly, based on your selected plan) unless you cancel.
  • We'll charge the payment method you have on file with Razorpay.
  • Prices may change in the future, but we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

The full policy, including the ₹5 payment-method verification charge, is on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page. In short, you can cancel your subscription at any time. When you cancel:

  • You'll continue to have access until the end of your current billing period.
  • We won't charge you for the next billing period.
  • Charges already completed are non-refundable. We don't offer partial or pro-rated refunds for unused time in a billing period.
  • Your data is not deleted. Everything you saved stays in your account and stays readable for as long as you keep the account, whether or not you are subscribed. There is no retention countdown and nothing expires.
  • What pauses is writing: adding, editing and deleting entries, and the AI parsing, all require an active trial or subscription. Reading your existing data does not.
  • You can delete your account at any time from your profile, which permanently erases all of it. That is the only thing that removes your data.

6. Your Content & Data

Your data belongs to you. The expenses you track, routines you create, and workouts you log, all of that is yours. We don't claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Prodivity service to you. We won't use your data for anything else.

You can request an export of your data or request full account deletion at any time by emailing info.prodivity@gmail.com.

7. Acceptable Use

We expect you to use Prodivity responsibly. You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or exploit the app or its APIs
  • Abuse the AI features by sending harmful, offensive, or spam-like inputs
  • Interfere with the service or try to access other users' data
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse the free trial or circumvent limits
  • Use automated tools or bots to interact with the service

If we determine that you're violating these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account.

8. Fair Usage & API Limits

To keep Prodivity fast and reliable for everyone, we apply reasonable rate limits to how often you can use the app's API, including for paid subscribers:

  • Accounts without an active trial or subscription can still read their data (view expenses, routines, workouts, and summaries), subject to a generous read-only limit.
  • Accounts on an active trial or paid subscription get a higher limit for creating, editing, and deleting entries.
  • AI-backed features (parsing text into entries, generating workouts) count more heavily against your limit than a simple read or write, since they call an external AI service.
  • These limits may vary by plan and may be adjusted from time to time without prior notice.

If you exceed a limit, requests are temporarily throttled rather than failing outright. Automated, bulk, or abusive use of the API beyond normal, individual use may result in temporary or permanent restriction of access.

9. Service Availability

We work hard to keep Prodivity running smoothly, but we want to be honest: we do not guarantee 99.9% uptime or uninterrupted service.

We're a small team, and things can go wrong: servers can have issues, third-party services can go down, and bugs can slip through. We'll do our best to fix problems quickly, but we can't promise perfection.

Prodivity installs as a Progressive Web App, but it is an online service: an active internet connection is required to sign in, load your data, and add or change entries. We do not offer offline use.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Prodivity is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
  • Our total liability to you for any claims related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not responsible for any loss of data, though we will take reasonable steps to prevent it.

In simple terms: we build Prodivity with care, but we're a small productivity app, not a financial institution. Please don't rely solely on Prodivity for critical financial decisions.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes (like changes to pricing or your rights), we'll give you at least 30 days' notice via email before the changes take effect.

For minor updates (like fixing typos or clarifying wording), we'll simply update this page. Continuing to use Prodivity after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.
